More and more, National Aerospace Training graduates are realising their dreams, gaining the right mix of training and work experience (via NAT's affiliate, DirectAir Charter) to make employers take notice. Here are just some of the many success stories from recent times.

"I started training in 1999 with National Aerospace Training, where I gained my commercial licence and instructor rating. I then progressed from a grade 3 instructor to a grade 1. During this time I did my instrument rating and passed my ATPL subjects, then I became manager of ‘DASAR'– a coastal surveillance program run during the summer. I was then transferred to the company's charter operation in Darwin where I gained valuable multi cngine charter experience, which allowed me to progress into the multi crew turbine job I now have. I recently became Captain on a Metro 111. The training and experience I gained with NAT and DAC have put me in the position I am in today – having an office at 20,000 feet!"

This is the best time to get into flying as the airlines are hiring and there will be a shortage of pilots in general aviation and regional airlines. As long as you are passionate and persistent, this industry is extremely rewarding."
